Hit-Run Crash Damages Hudson Valley Home
Police in the Hudson Valley are searching for a van involved in a hit-and-run crash that damaged a home. The incident took place in Rockland County around 1:40 a.m., Friday, July 14 in Chestnut Ridge, on Andrew Drive. According to the Ramapo Police, the van crashed into the home and fled the scene. No occupants of the home were injured, police said. The Monsey Fire Dept assisted at the scene. The Village of Chestnut Ridge Building Inspector responded and is reviewing the home for safety. Home Destroyed During Height Of Severe Thunderstorms In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley family lost their home after a large tree took off the back half of the house during an intense thunderstorm. The incident took place around 3 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, in Orange County when a series of storms with high winds moved through sending the large tree crashing into the home at 8 Carpenter Road in Chester. House Fire Breaks Out In Rockland
A fire destroyed an extension being added to a Rockland County home over the garage area and moved to parts of the main residence. The blaze began around 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, at the home at 24 Woodside Drive in New City. The New City Fire Department, along with several other fire companies worked to extinguish the fire, said the Clarkstown Police. No injuries were reported, but the home did receive major damage.
