Teen In Stolen Pickup Truck Caught After Police Chase In Rockland
A teenager in a stolen pickup truck was caught after a police chase, Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco said. At approximately 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 12, a sheriff’s patrol officer observed a white 2018 Dodge Ram pickup truck, which had been reported stolen out of West Nyack two days earlier being operated by 18-year-old Desmon S. Nanton of Garnerville on Beach Road in West Haverstraw, the sheriff's office said. Emergency Preparedness Exercise Held At North Rockland HS
The Haverstraw Police Department conducted an emergency preparedness drill at the North Rockland High School from noon until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6on Hammond Road. During the drill, Hammond Road was closed between Suffern Lane and Birch Drive. According to police, the drill consisted of multiple emergency service agencies from throughout Rockland County.

Emergency Response Drill Will Cause Road Closure In Haverstraw
A busy Rockland County road will be temporarily closed as police conduct a drill in Haverstraw. The Haverstraw Police Department issued an alert warning that from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, Hammond Road will be closed to vehicular traffic as officers conduct an emergency response drill in the area. Police noted that there are electronic signs currently posted on Hammond Road as a reminder to residents and area motorists. Drivers have been advised to seek an alternate route while police are conducting the drill.
