Woman, 30, Attempting To Cross Route 9 Hit, Killed By Car A 30-year-old pedestrian was killed late Wednesday night when she was hit by a car while attempting to cross a stretch of Route 9, state police said. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at around 10:30 p.m. near Old Hopewell Road in the town of Wappinger.
