Police Asking For Help IDing Man From Area Wanted In Shoplifting Incident Police are asking the public for help locating a suspect from the Hudson Valley wanted in connection with two large shoplifting incidents at a liquor store. Police they are investigating the incidents that occurred on Saturday, July 10, and Thursday, July 15, at the Bottle King liquor store in Glen Rock, New Jersey.  The suspect, who is from Orange County and the City of Newburgh, is described as a Black male, fled the area in a 2019 gray Nissan Sentra. Found! Wayward Woman From Rockland, 74, Turns Up In Glen Rock A lost Rockland County senior was found at a dry cleaners in Glen Rock, authorities said. Responding to the Prospect Street business, Officer Sarah Orsita found the distraught 74-year-old woman from Spring Valley, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. She told Orsita that she’d became lost while traveling from home – a distance a little over 17 miles. The officer tried to give her directions, but the woman remained confused, he said. So Orsita contacted a friend of the woman who came to Glen Rock to pick her up, the chief said.

Falling Glen Rock Tree Limb Cracks Mercedes Windshield; Driver Hospitalized With Head Injuries A falling tree limb cracked the windshield on a Mercedes Benz that had just exited Route 208 northbound in Glen Rock Sunday afternoon, sending the driver to the hospital with non life-threatening head injuries. The SUV's adult male driver was transported by Glen Rock EMS to Hackensack University Medical Center from De Boer Drive. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted Glen Rock EMTs with patient evaluation.  The driver was the only occupant in the Mercedes when the tree limb hit it.  The Glen Rock police and fire departments also responded to the incident. Elderly Driver Hospitalized After SUV Slams Into Glen Rock Utility Pole GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- An elderly driver was hospitalized after SUV slammed head-on into a utility pole Sunday night in Glen Rock. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood assisted Glen Rock EMTs in tending to the woman, who was conscious when she was brought to Hackensack University Center following the Harristown Road crash. The Toyota was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck, whose driver also tended to a significant fluid leak. A PSE&G crew also responded. Boyd A. Loving contributed to this report.
