Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket, a 92,000-square-foot park on 13 acres next to Foxwoods, will open on Friday, May 23, Great Wolf Resorts said. The $300 million resort is part of a partnership with the Pequot tribe, promising year-round indoor water fun and family-friendly attractions. Fatal Crash: 36-Year-Old ID'd As Victim On Palisades Parkway In Pomona A motorist from Massachusetts was killed after his vehicle overturned on a Hudson Valley roadway. It happened just after 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct.19 in Rockland County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP) southbound, in the town of Ramapo. Popular Fairfield County HS Football, Lacrosse Coach Dies At 52 A popular area high school football and lacrosse coach and former Division I college standout died of a heart attack at his home Saturday afternoon. Jason Cooper, wide receivers coach at New Canaan High School, was 52. Cooper was a captain of Duke’s football team in 1987. For the past four years, Cooper served as an assistant coach for both the football and girls lacrosse programs at his alma mater, New Canaan High School.
