A New Jersey attorney and prominent yacht club owner is facing assault and battery charges in Miami for bloody assault involving a glass cup on New Year's Day, according to a news report by Local10 and court records. Miami-Dade court records confirm that Michael Lupolover, 43, was charged with assault and battery on Wednesday, Feb. 12. A New York driver aided by good Samaritans in a crash along the Palisades Interstate Parkway last week has died, authorities announced. Michael E. Donoghue, of Nanuet, NY, was rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center with serious injuries sustained in the crash near milepost 0.9 in Englewood Cliffs Thursday, Jan. 16, according to Jeff Angermeyer, Deputy Chief of Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. A tour helicopter carrying the pilot and six passengers made a safe emergency landing in the parking lot of the Englewood Marina after experiencing mechanical failure mid-flight on Tuesday, Dec. 17, police said.
