Woman Arrested For Hitting, Biting Person During Domestic Dispute, Police Say
A 25-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly hitting and bitting another person during a domestic dispute.
Heather N. Free, of Saugerties, was arrested around 7:50 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, after Saugerties Police responded to a 911 call for a domestic dispute at the Hickory Ridge Apartments, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra.
When officers arrived on the scene they found that Free, allegedly while in an intoxicated condition, had thrown the victim’s personal belongings out of their residence, Sinagra said.

A 57-year-old man was arrested twice in one day, once for allegedly attempting to punch a woman in the face, and later for illegal possession of weapons.
Ulster County resident Jeffrey Sackal, of Saugerties, was first arrested at 1:17 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4, when Town of Saugerties police responded to Center Road for a report of domestic violence, Chief Joseph Sinagra said.

The incident took place around 1:50 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23, when eight police officers responded to a 911 call by a resident in Harlem, saying a male neighbor was harassing her, banging on doors and breaking glass, said NYPD Police Commissioner James O'Neill.

A 31-year-old man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for violently raping his wife in Spring Valley with two children in the room.
Holger Lema-Yaucan, of Brooklyn, was sentenced on Thursday, Aug. 8, after a jury found him guilty of rape, sexual abuse, strangulation, aggravated criminal contempt, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, said Acting Rockland County District Attorney Kevin Gilleece.
Lema-Yaucan will also be required to register for 20 years of post-release supervision, the DA's Office said.
