A 57-year-old man faces criminal charges after neglecting several chickens, roosters, and ducks on his Hudson Valley property, authorities announced.
The man was arrested in Putnam County on Monday, Sept. 23 following an investigation conducted at his Mahopac residence, the Putnam County SPCA announced on Friday, Sept. 27.
According to authorities, on the day of the man's arrest, SPCA Law Enforcement Division members met with caseworkers from the county's Child Protective Services at his Mahopac address.

A man charged in the double homicide of a mother and daughter that left a 1-month-old baby girl motherless had an order of protection against him.
Robert C. Williams III, 32, of Hillcrest, was arraigned Saturday, May 30, for the crime which took place in Rockland County on Tuesday, May 26, in Valley Cottage, said the Clarkstown Police Chief Raymond McCullagh.
