Suspect ID'd In Stabbing Of Father In Hudson Valley Police have identified a Hudson Valley man who allegedly stabbed his father during a domestic dispute. Related: Chester Man Critical Following Stabbing During Domestic Incident The incident occurred in Orange County around 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, on Lake Region Boulevard in the town of Chester. SUV Crashes Into Local Firehouse In Hudson Valley Police in the Hudson Valley are investigating after a woman drove an SUV into the front of a firehouse.  The incident took place in Orange County around 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the village of Chester on Main Street near Route 94. The woman, whose license was suspended, was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the village of Chester Police said. Police Warn Parents Of Location Sharing 'Mappen' App Local police are warning parents of a new social media platform and smartphone app that is apparently aggressive in its quest to get users to share locations with contacts. Mappen's description in the App Store reads: “SEE WHERE YOUR FRIENDS ARE AND MEET UP. Mappen helps you plan your social life by showing you where friends are and what they’re doing so you can get together.”  The app only shares users' locations with friends, but often asks for access to all contacts to be added as friends.
