The stomach-churning discovery was made Wednesday, March 20, inside the Albany County jail in Albany. Sheriff Craig Apple said the inmate was returning to the facility after pleading guilty to a weapon possession charge when he went through a body scanner meant to detect dangerous contraband. Police in Albany were called at around 5 a.m. Saturday, May 6, with reports that a car appeared to be driving into the water at a boat launch on Quay Street, according to Albany Police. NY Soldier Made Terroristic Threats At Army National Guard Base, Cops Say An Army National Guard soldier in Upstate New York is facing charges after allegedly threatening violence at a military base in the Capital District. New York State Police said they began investigating after a concerned soldier from the Army National Guard Base in Latham contacted them on Saturday, July 23.
