Suffern High Girls Basketball Team Powers Past Horace Greeley

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -The Suffern High girls basketball team took a trip across the river to visit Horace Greeley Friday evening, with the Mounties walking off with a 42-28 victory.

Suffern raced out to a 23-6 halftime lead and never looked back.

Suffern (3-1) got 11 points from Brianna Witt, and Liz Trojan added nine points and 10 rebounds. Lauren Brown had 16 of her 21 points in the second half.

"It was great to see Brianna Witt playing so well tonight," Suffern coach Rich Burger said. "She did a great job on both offense and defense."

Greeley fell to 1-3.
