Should the district gain an okay from the State on the name change to Suffern, administrators think the nearby districts would not be confused, said the report.
Ramapo Central's school board President Theresa DiFalco told the newspaper the district gets media and public inquiries meant for East Ramapo, according to lohud.com.
When it's time to vote on the budget in May, "We receive telephone calls from people looking for their polling place only to find out that they reside in East Ramapo," DiFalco told lohud.com.
Even search engines, such as "Google" get it wrong, said the report.
