Sen. David Carlucci, D-Rockland/Westchester, who posted pictures of the leaks on Twitter, said the repairs could cost $1 million, lohud reported.
Residents of the struggling East Ramapo school district defeated a bond last year to spend $40 million on repairs districtwide, and the high school was cited two years ago for mold and vermin, the lohud story said.
According to News12, two classrooms at the school on Viola Road cannot be used.
Interim Schools Superintendent Debora Wortham told News12 that the situation is being taken very seriously and that the leaks are a direct result of the bond's defeat. She added that she hoped a new bond would pass, the News12 story said.
