Rockland Hamlet Ranks Among Most Expensive ZIP Codes

ORANGETOWN, N.Y. – The Rockland hamlet of Palisades, located in Orangetown, is listed at No. 422 on Forbes’ list of most expensive ZIP codes in 2015.

Palisades, formerly known as Snedens Landing, currently has a median home listing price of $1.06 million, where homes spend about 194 days on the market, according to Forbes’ list.

Various ZIP codes in New York City also made the list, with ZIP code 10001 listed at No. 64 with an average median price of $2.65 million, ZIP code 10022 listed at No. 65 with an average median price of $2.6 million and ZIP 10069 listed at No. 68 with an average median price of $2.56 million, according to Forbes.

Forbes creates the list by looking at median home price information for over 30,000 ZIP codes covering 95 percent of the population in the U.S., according to Forbes.
