Incumbents Lose In Airmont Elections

The Airmont Board of Trustees has two new members as a pair of incumbent board members were unseated in Tuesday's election.

Candidates Peter Blunnie received 1071 votes and Kevin Warbrick received 1086 to defeat incumbent Trustees Ralph Bracco with 694 votes and Dennis Cohen, with 674 votes, according to City Clerk and Treasurer Lisa-Ann DiMarsico-Smith.

In the Airmont village justice race, incumbent Anthony Benedict received 1098 votes to beat Robert Reda with 663 votes, she added.

All of the seats are for a four-year term. The annual salary for a trustee is $3,785.67, and $12,854 for a justice, DiMarsico-Smith said.
