Bill Weber announced his candidacy for an unexpired three-year term on the Ramapo Town Council on Thursday. The seat was vacated earlier this month by Councilman Sam Tress who was elected less than a year ago.
Weber was his opponent and ran on the Ramapo United ticket that included Michael Parietti, Tomothy Scott, and Robert Romanowski.
The announcement came in the form of a press release posted on a campaign Facebook page.
"My commitment is to bringing honesty, integrity, and transparency to the Town of Ramapo government," Weber said.
A Pace University graduate and certified public accountant, Weber is originally from Pearl River and has held executive-level positions in a variety of county and town political parties, and has been involved in other past campaigns. He is married and has four children who attend Ramapo Central schools, he said.
