Traffic Stop Of BMW Leads To Oxycodone Bust In Ramapo

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two Ramapo Police officers conducting vehicle and traffic enforcement in the Village of Sloatsburg Wednesday busted a 41-year-old man for oxycodone possession, according to the Ramapo Police Department.

The officers stopped a BMW traveling northbound for a traffic violation around 7 p.m., police said.

When talking with the driver and the passenger, the officers noticed that their conversation with the two was not only bizarre, but they conflicted one another, police said.

After a further investigation, the passenger from Greenwood Lake was found to be in possession of over 70 pills including oxycodone, hydrochlorothiazide, lisinopril, and oxycodone hydrochloride, police said.

The passenger was arrested and transported to the Ramapo PD for processing. He was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance.
