Teen Caught After Thefts From Cars Reported In Ramapo

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- The Ramapo Police Department issued a new warning regarding thefts from unlocked vehicles Saturday after catching a teen with stolen property.

At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Ramapo PD midnight shift officers responded to the area of Saddle River Road and Maple Avenue in Monsey on a report of males breaking into cars at that location.

Upon arrival, police arrested an 18-year-old male from Spring Valley, who was in possession of property that did not belong to him, according to police.

The interior of several vehicles in the area were ransacked. 

The investigation is continuing.

Rockland County Sheriff’s BCI and the Village of Kaser Security assisted RPD on this call.
