Suffern Police Charge Two Suspects With Criminal Mischief, Contempt

SUFFERN, N.Y. – Suffern police recently charged two men with criminal contempt and criminal mischief, among the latest arrests made by the department.

A 23-year old Suffern man was charged with criminal mischief after officers were called to a home on East Park Place due to a report of a domestic dispute. The man had gotten into an argument with his mother and she had locked herself in a room as a result. He kicked the door in, prompting the police to arrive and charge him with mischief and issue an order of protection.

A 43-year old Suffern man was charged with criminal contempt after violating an order of protection from his ex-wife. He visited her home on Chatham Street late one evening and fled when officers showed up, later found and arrested.

Other recent charges include three people from Monsey, Hillburn and Suffern being charged with driving with suspended registrations, and a 46-year old Spring Valley woman was arrested on driving with a suspended registration and a driver's license.
