Suffern Man Charged With Violating Parole

SUFFERN, N.Y. – Suffern police say they have arrested a 32-year-old resident on charges of violating parole.

The suspect, who they did not identify, was spotted walking on Lafayette Avenue, police said.

The arresting officer knew the man was wanted by the New York State Division of Parole, police said.

The suspect was turned over to state authorities, police said.

Suffern police also reported arresting a 39-year-old Stony Point man, who was wanted for public exposure.

They also stopped a 27-year-old Ramsey, N.J., man on Route 202 and charged him with driving with a suspended license. He was also charged with speeding, police said.

Several other drivers were ticketed for having suspended registrations, police said.

They were a 25-year-old Nyack man; a 51-year-old New City man; a 28-year-old Bronx woman; a 38-year-old Garnerville woman; and a 33-year-old Airmont woman.
