The unidentified man crashed his vehicle at 8:15 a.m. into a guardrail in the Village Airmont, flipping his vehicle and coming to rest on its roof, police said.
By the time police arrived on the scene, the driver was already out of the vehicle and sitting on the guardrail, police said.
During the investigation into the crash, police found he was high on drugs and in possession of a controlled substance. He was charged with DWAI/Drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance, police sad.
Although the driver did not complain of any injuries, he was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was checked and released. He was then taken to the Ramapo Police headquarters to be processed.
