Spring Valley Woman Charged With Breaking Into Ex's Home

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Spring Valley woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with breaking into her estranged husband’s house, Ramapo police said.

The unidentified 47-year-old was intoxicated when she forced her way into the house and damaged some property inside, police said.

She was charged with second-degree burglary and criminal mischief, police said.

Because she was so drunk, police said they took her to the hospital for medical attention.

The incident is still under investigation, police said.

Meanwhile, police said they answered a total of 170 calls, including 21 alarm activations, three fires, seven medical emergencies, seven motor vehicle accidents, and six other arrests.

Those arrests included: one warrant arrest, one for criminal trespass, two for for suspended vehicle registrations, and two others for aggravated unlicensed operation.

The accident locations were Route 59, Airmont; Forshay Road, Viola; Red School House Road, Chestnut Ridge; Route 306, Wesley Hills; Viola Road, New Hempstead; and two on Maple Avenue, Kaser.
