Thomas Pomponio, 37, of New City was arrested and charged with multiple violations after his Volkswagen rear-ended a Nissan and police found him to be intoxicated.
Pomponio's blood alcohol content was 0.22, more than twice the legal limit, and police charged him with aggravated driving while intoxicated along with various traffic violations.
He was released to a sober third party, and was issued appearance tickets for Clarkstown Town Court for Wednesday, March 2.
