In connection with a recent string of car larcenies, police obtained a search warrant for a residence in the Village of Pomona on Tuesday, Feb. 16, officials report.
As a result of the investigation, several stolen items were recovered, and a 32-year-old Pomona man was apprehended, according to police.
The suspect was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree and obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, officials report.
The defendant was remanded to the Rockland County Jail, and bail was set at $2,000, according to police.
Detectives are continuing their investigation, and are currently in possession of additional items recovered from the search that are believed to have been stolen from vehicles in the Pomona and Wesley Hills area, officials report.
Ramapo police are encouraging any persons who may have been victimized to contact the station and file a report; police are reminding area residents to lock their car doors and remove any property of value from their vehicles.
