Ramapo Police K-9 Unit Assists In Search Of Rockland County Jail

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- K-9 units from the Ramapo Police Department and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office teamed up Thursday to aid in a search of the county jail, police said.

Also participating in the drill were dogs and their handlers from police departments in Clarkstown and Haverstraw, and the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Ramapo police said the training events also help insure that drugs have not been smuggled into the jail.
