Ramapo Police Charge Wesley Hills Man In Rooming House Burglary

Police responded to a reported burglary at a rooming house in Monsey, according to officials.

Officers and detectives investigated the theft of numerous missing items, police report.

Following an investigation, detectives arrested the 34-year-old suspect about 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to officials.

The defendant has been charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony, police report.

The Ramapo Police Department responded to 10 motor vehicle accidents on Tuesday.

Sites of the accidents included three in Hillcrest, two in Monsey and one each in Airmont, Montebello, Viola, New Square and Chestnut Ridge.

Two of the accidents involved injuries, according to officials.

Ramapo police responded to 146 calls on Tuesday, including 11 alarm activations, nine medical emergencies and five fires.

Police report making seven arrests.

Charges included second degree burglary, DWI, unlawful possession of marijuana and several warrants, according to officials.
