Police responded to what initially seemed like a burglary in progress about 9 p.m., officials report.

The caller said that someone was trying to enter his residence through a window, according to police.

After a brief investigation at the scene, it was determined that a woman was trying to enter the man’s residence; the two had apparently met though an online dating service, officials report.

The man requested that the woman, a 28-year-old resident of Brooklyn, leave his house, according to police.

She left without incident, and no charges were filed by the complainant.

Police report 13 motor vehicle accidents in the following locations on Sunday: four apiece in Airmont and Monsey, three in Hillcrest and one apiece in Wesley Hills and New Hempstead.

Two of the accidents involved injuries, according to officials.

Officers responded to 119 calls for service on Sunday, including five medical emergencies, 19 alarm activations and three fires.

Police report two arrests: one for a warrant, and the other for a petty larceny charge against an alleged shoplifter.
