The latest event took place on Monday when dispatch received a call regarding an 89-year-old man who had stopped breathing and had no pulse, police said.

Dispatcher Heather Silber, who like all the dispatchers is well-versed in life-saving techniques,  jumped into action and immediately provided the caller with instructions on how to perform CPR and talked them through the process, police said.

Within minutes, the man had regained his pulse and breathing before EMS personnel arrived, and had regained consciousness before arriving at the hospital, police added.
