Nanshun Jin, 24, was charged with prostitution and operating a massage parlor without a proper license at the Dream Health Spa, 299 Main St., after it was discovered she was providing prostitution services, said Ramapo Detective Lt. Mark Emma.
The town closed the business after learning of the arrest and the lack of a license, Emma said.

Officers responded to Main Street and Eckerson Road in Hillcrest for a man causing a disturbance and menacing customers with a knife about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived, they discovered the man was of no danger and no weapon was involved.
Police have dealt with the man on numerous calls over the past year and the man has been the subject of a stay-away order of protection. However, none applied in this case, and no arrests were made.
In addition, Ramapo police conducted 20 election security checks at polling places throughout town and handled 174 calls for service including:
- 14 alarms (burglar, fire & medical).
- 3 fire calls.
- 6 medical emergencies.
Officers also investigated 12 motor vehicle accidents in the following areas of the town: Airmont (3), New Square (2), Hillcrest (2), New City, northeast Ramapo, Montebello, Monsey, and Chestnut Ridge. Two of the accidents involved injuries, and they occurred on Old Schoolhouse Road in New City and Washington Avenue in New Square.
