Pierre Alexandre, 54, was stopped on the side of Hemion Road in the Village of Montebello when a Ramapo Police Officer approached his vehicle, said Det. Lt. Mark Emma.

The officer had stopped because the engine was running and Alexandre appeared to be asleep at the wheel, police said.
