Motorist Who Drove Over Curb Charged With DWI, Ramapo Police Say

HILLCREST, N.Y. -- Ramapo police have charged a man with driving while intoxicated, according to police.

An officer observed a vehicle on North Main Street that backed up on the roadway and drove over a curb as it pulled into the driveway of an apartment complex, police report.

The officer stopped the vehicle, determined that the driver was intoxicated and arrested him, according to officials.

The driver was charged with DWI and several other vehicle and traffic law violations, police report.

He is due to appear in Ramapo Justice Court later this month, officials report.
