Oscar A. Molina-Landaverde of Spring Valley was spotted by the officer sitting in his vehicle at 288 N Main St., with a small green bag containing a white powder on his lap, said Officer Matthew Galli.
When Molina-Landaverde saw the officer, he attempted to conceal the bag. The officer’s investigation led to the recovery of 18 Ziploc bags containing a white powdery substance, and four foil packets containing a white powdery substance, Galli said.
The substance later tested positive for cocaine, he added.
The New York State Police K-9 Unit assisted in the search of the vehicle.
Molina-Landaverde was processed at police headquarters and charged with possession with intent to sell and criminal possession of a controlled substance more than 500 milligrams.
