RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Just days after getting off the hook for the last nine months of his probation on sex charges by a Rockland County judge, former New York Giants star Lawrence Taylor was charged with driving while drunk in Palm Beach, Fla., according to lohud.com.

NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor was charged with DUI just one day after being let off his probation early for having sex with a 16-year-old girl.

The NFL Hall of Famer was charged Sept. 2 after he crashed his Bentley into a motor home and then slammed into a parked police car, said lohud.com.

Taylor, 57, who tested above the legal limit, was released without bail. The former linebacker was serving six years of probation after he pleaded guilty to paying $300 to have sex with a 16-year-old girl in 2010 in Montebello. In addition to his probation, he was also classified as a sex offender, added lohud.com.

He was released early by state Supreme Court Justice William Kelly after the judge said Taylor had been a model probationer and had been drug- and alcohol-free, said lohud.com.

The Rockland County District Attorney's Office had opposed the early release. Taylor was arrested just one day after being released from probation, added lohud.com.

Taylor, a regular at Ramapo's Spook Rock golf course, owned a home in New Jersey around the time he was arrested on the sex charge. He led the Giants to Super Bowl wins in 1987 and 1991, said lohud.com.
