Head-on NY State Thruway crash kills 2

ALERT: A double-fatal head-on crash on the northbound New York State Thruway near Exit 15 in Suffern this morning has backed traffic into New Jersey.

The northbound lanes were closed and being detoured at Exit 14B. Southbound lanes were moving very slowly following the 6:50 a.m. wrong-way collision involving a pickup truck and an SUV.

Northbound Route 17 was also clogged.
