DWI Stony Point Driver Caught With Cocaine After Traffic Stop, Police Say

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Stony Point man was hit with DWI and drug charges after he was pulled over for a traffic violation on Friday, according to the Stony Pont Police.

Edwin Delahoz, 38, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and DWI after being stopped, said Lt. Keith Williams.

During the stop, the officer noticed that Delahoz was intoxicated and subsequent tests showed that he was driving at twice the legal limit with a blood alcohol content of 0.16 percent, police said.

Officers also found that Delahoz of in possession of 2.6 grams of cocaine during the stop, Williams said.

Delahoz was processed and is currently waiting to be arraigned.
