The unidentified 18-year-old driver from Spring Valley, whom police declined to name, was caught by Ramapo police officers after he fled the scene of the crash, police said.
The vehicle had been reported stolen several days ago. The other occupants of the car fled the scene on foot, police added.
The driver, who was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle accident and DWI, was also wanted on an outstanding warrant from Ramapo, police said.
He is due to be arraigned in court Thursday.
