Police responded at approximately 6:20 p.m. to 11 Third St., a commercial and residential building, for a report of a vehicle into a building, police said.

Police arrived at the scene where a 2003 four-door Toyota reportedly crashed into the northwest corner of the building, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle, an 84-year-old New City man, was the sole occupant and was not injured, police said.

Occupants of the building were able to exit the building without injury, according to police.

New City FD, Clarkstown Building Inspector and Orange and Rockland responded to the scene, police said.

The building inspector will continue to investigate the structural integrity of the building to determine its habitability, according to police.

The driver appears to reportedly have been backing out of a parking spot in the Burger King parking lot when he lost control of the vehicle, police said.

No tickets or arrests have been made at this point in the investigation, according to police.
