Aggravated Harassment Charges Top Suffern PD Weekly Blotter

SUFFERN, N.Y. – The arrest of a man on aggravated harassment charges tops the Suffern Police Department weekly blotter.

A 56-year-old Staten Island man was charged with aggravated harassment after being accused of frequently calling his ex-girlfriend in Suffern and making threats and being issued an order of protection to stay away from the woman and her home.

In other charges:

  • An 18-year-old man from Hillsdale, N.J., was charged with possession of marijuana after being stopped for speeding on Route 202.
  • A 19-year-old Suffern man was charged with driving with a suspended license after failing to stop at a stop sign on Memorial Drive and police discovered that his license was suspended for failure to appear in court for previous summons.
  • Three men were charged with various traffic offenses on Lafayette Avenue -- a 31-year-old Spring Valley man for driving with a suspended license; and a 23-year-old Suffern man and a 27-year-old Spring Valley man for driving with suspended registrations.
