Authorities raced to a Hudson Valley high school after an alarm was accidentally tripped, police said. The incident happened in Putnam County just after 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, when authorities responded to a lockdown alarm activation at Mahopac High School that indicated it was "not a drill," according to the Carmel Police Department. Suspect On Loose After Teen Stabbed In Broad Daylight In Hudson Valley
Police iare searching for a suspect in connection with an altercation that left a teen stabbed in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, around 4 p.m. in the area of Main Street and South Brett Street in Beacon. According to Beacon Police Chief Thomas Figlia, the victim, a 16-year-old, suffered a superficial wound to the leg and was treated and released from the hospital. The investigation is ongoing. Woman Critical After Stabbing, Assault On Hudson Valley Street
Police are investigating and searching for a suspect after a woman was found stabbed and assaulted on a Hudson Valley street. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Monday, Sept. 30, around 7:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Main Street in Poughkeepsie. According to the Poughkeepsie Police, officers found the 35-year-old woman semi-conscious with severe facial wounds and a stab wound to the back. A juvenile was charged with allegedly making a threat of mass harm after the FBI alerted the New York State Police of a school threat made in the region on TikTok. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in Wappinger. Trooper AJ Hicks said an investigation determined the "non-specific threat originated from the town of Wappinger. Police are investigating and searching for suspects in connection with a shooting that left a Hudson Valley man wounded. A man was charged with allegedly assaulting a woman with a broom handle and his fist, causing a head injury, during a domestic dispute in the region. Ulster County resident Harry J. Krom, age 42, of Kerhonkson, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 25, on Two Path Road in Wawarsing. A missing woman who had not been seen in a day was located by a New York State Police drone at the bottom of a Hudson Valley cliff.
