SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Sara Arce, 97, of Suffern, died Sept. 9. She was 97.
She was a genuinely kind and generous person, who shared with the less fortunate. Her immense joy in life was travelling. She travelled to China, Russia, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Portugal, England and France, as well as the Caribbean and South America. She loved music – her favorite song was “Besame Mucho.”
She was predeceased by her husband, Zoilo; and her youngest son, Ruben.
She is survived by her daughters, Miriam Marrero Colon, Genett Papay and spouse, Donald Papay, Carmen Rodriguez and spouse Richard Rodriguez; son, Nestor Arce and spouse Iris Burgos; six grandchildren, Miriam Sierra, Luis Hernandez, Nestor Arce Jr., June Wade, Rick Rodriguez and Kristy Caamano; and 14 great-grandchildren.
