SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Dominick J. Celentano, a resident of Waretown, N.J. and formerly of Suffern, died Thursday, March 24. He was 91.
He was born Aug. 4, 1924, in New York Cityto Dominick and Catherine Celentano. He had been a Suffern resident since 1967, until recently moving to Waretown.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from Chromalloy in Orangeburg. After he retired, he worked for OTB in Suffern and was a member of the Suffern seniors, American Legion and the Sons of Italy.
He is survived by his wife Catherine; two daughters, Emilia Kaminsky and her husband John Kaminsky, and Marie and her husband Frank Pillar; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Emilia Lirette.
He was predeceased by three siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Scarr Funeral Home Inc., Route 202, Suffern.
