SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. – Della J. Boyd, of Spring Valley, died Wednesday, March 9, after a brief illness. She was 79.
She was retired from Letchworth Village after many years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Tom D. Boyd, of Spring Valley; her son, Edward A. Boyd of Jersey City, N.J.; one brother, Thomas L. Watson Sr.; three sisters, Cora Watson of Nanuet, Doretha Mollett of Orlando, Fla., and Mary L. Hemmings of Las Vegas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by one sister and two brothers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the George M. Holt Funeral Home, 50 New Main St., Haverstraw. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 17, at 11 a.m. at the George M. Holt Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 220 Brick Church Road, Spring Valley.
