Swastikas, Anti-Semitic Messages Found In Ramapo, Say Police

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. – Swastikas spray-painted outside a Jewish school have drawn condemnation from local leaders and the attention of police, according to News 12.

The anti-Semitic graffiti was found in black paint on a fence outside the school between New Hempstead and Polnoya roads, according to News 12, which said the swastikas along with the words “Get Out” were discovered Tuesday.

State Sen. David Carlucci issued a statement condemning the graffiti, according to News 12, which said that Yossi Gestetner, a member of the Orthodox Jewish Public Affairs Council, called the incident part of an “ongoing effort … to delegitimize and intimidate the Orthodox Jewish community.”

Ramapo police are investigating the incident and asking anyone with information on the graffiti to call 845-357-2400.
