Ullman unveiled his proposed budget at a town board meeting Tuesday. The budget cuts spending by six percent.
Residents who live in unincorporated Ramapo will see a tax decrease of 3.2 percent. Residents who live in one of Ramapo's villages will see their taxes decrease by 8.2 percent. Suffern residents will see taxes decrease by 12 percent and Spring Valley residents will see taxes decrease by 14 percent.
"We are turning the page by offering the people of Ramapo a responsive government that improves services while reducing the tax burden we all face," Ullman said.
