Ramapo Supervisor St. Lawrence Will Not Testify At Own Corruption Trial

Town of Ramapo Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence's attorney announced Monday he will not take the stand in his own defense during his federal corruption trial that is expected to wrap up on Tuesday in White Plains, according to multiple reports.

Defense lawyer Michael Burke also told U.S. District Court Judge Cathy Seibel he would not be calling any witnesses during the trial which has seen 16 days of testimony.

A few remaining witnesses are expected to be called by prosecutors Tuesday prior to closing arguments, News 12 reported.

St. Lawrence is facing 22-counts of federal corruption charges in connection with the financing of Palisades Credit Union Park, a baseball stadium in Pomona, along with other town projects.

Jury deliberations are expected to begin Wednesday.
