Meet Maverick, Hi Tor Pet Of The Week

POMONA, N.Y. -- Maverick is a male pit bull mix who's approximately five years old. He came to Hi Tor Animal Care Center, Rockland County's animal shelter, as a stray.

Maverick -- who folks at the shelter call a "little meatball" -- is looking for his "furever" home.

"Maverick is a small guy who would do great in an apartment or condo," the shelter notes. "He's sweet and friendly and loves people."

Folks at the shelter say he's friendly with other dogs but hasn't been tested with cats. "You really need to stop by and meet this little meatball," they add.
