Meet Cashmere, Pomona Animal Shelter's Pet Of The Week

POMONA, N.Y. – Cashmere, a sweet, playful -- and FIV-positive -- kitty is the “Pet of the Week” at the Hi Tor Animal Care Center in Pomona.

Her owners were unable to keep her due to a “change in lifestyle,” the shelter said.

Although Cashmere has the feline immunodeficiency virus she is always running around playing, they said, adding that cats with FIV “can live long and healthy lives.”

She loves people and attention, the shelter said.
