Described as "cute lil pibble (an affectionate pit bull)," Garvey is said to enjoy sleeping (and sometimes snoring) on the couch, playing, taking walks and snuggling.
According to the shelter, he did not initially get along well with other dogs, but has gone through extensive socialization training in the past year and now tolerates most other animals without issue.
Garvey aims to please his people and may do well in a home with older children, according to the shelter. Homes with younger children should consider adopting another dog.
To learn more about Garvey or any of the other animals up for adoption at Hi Tor Animal Care Center, email info@hitor.org or visit the shelter's website. The organization can also be found on Facebook.
