Downed Lines Knock Out Power In Montebello

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Downed power lines have knocked out power across areas of the Village of Montebello, according to Orange & Rockland Utilities.

Most residents should have their power back shortly, said Maria Pollard, spokeswoman for the company.

About 24 customers who live in the area of Montebello Road will experience power outages for up to two more hours, she added.

O&R employees on site are not sure what brought the wires down. Ramapo Police are in the area to monitor traffic as the wires are repaired.
