Carlucci To Give Property Tax Relief Talk In Suffern For Veterans

SUFFERN, N.Y. -- State Sen. David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester), in partnership with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance and the Veterans Advisory Council, will hold a property tax relief seminar in Suffern for veterans.

The seminar will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon, at the American Legion Post #859, 17 Pavilion Road, Suffern.

John Wolham, the Department’s Real Property Services Administrator for the Southern Region, will discuss various property tax exemptions and relief programs available for veterans in New York, as well as tax credits for businesses that hire veterans returning from overseas, like "Hire a Vet."

This seminar will inform veterans about how they can maintain their financial security and can continue to live comfortably in Rockland County.
